Paule Villard

North Miami Beach Commissioner Paule Villard was born in Haiti in the Saint-Louis-du -Nord from Rosa and Roland St Gerard region then raised in Port de Paix. At the age of 21, she immigrated to the United States speaking no English and with very few resources, but with the belief that she had the ability to become whomever she desired.
Understanding that education had the power to change her life, Villard enrolled at Miami Dade Community College where she graduated with an Associate in Arts degree, matriculated to Barry University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and a Master’s degree in Education.
Over the course of Mrs. Villard’s professional career she has had many roles, starting as a cashier for five years, then going on to become a City of Miami police officer where she positively impacted the lives of youth and senior citizens for over 27 years before her retirement in the role of Sergeant.
